Sony patent suggests Xperia Play with dual keyboards, it's slidingly slidable
Okay, so maybe physical keyboards were a bigger deal back in 2010 when this thing was filed, or maybe -- just maybe -- we'll one day see an Xperia Play smartphone with both a gamepad and a full QWERTY counterpart. A patent for such a contraption was just granted to Sony by the USPTO, which stakes its claim for a device with two sliding mechanisms in addition to the display. When the primary sliding mechanism is engaged, the second will come along for the ride -- and for those curious, it seems the default option is the keyboard. Once both are open, the sliding units may be disengaged from one another, so that when one of the units retracts, the other will remain accessible. It all sounds quite feasible, and if the mechanism works well enough, what's a few extra millimeters among friends?

Snooki and JWoww Trailer: Released, Ridiculous!
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley will soon be back for a new MTV spinoff, documenting their transforming lives away from Jersey Shore.
In the first trailer for Snooki & JWoww (reportedly titled Snooki & JWoww vs. The World, according to some sources), the BFFs decide to move in together.
Shortly after they find an apartment, however, Snooki tells her roommate the news that shocked the rest of us as well: "I'm pregnant and engaged."
JWoww then accompanies Snook and Jionni LaValle to her first ultrasound appointment, where the spawn of Snooki makes his or her reality TV debut in utero.
"Honestly I really didn't know that I could make a baby," Snooki says, "so the fact that I can reproduce is very scary." That's putting it mildly, girlfriend.
Though Polizzi's life took an unexpected turn, friends are forever. "I would die for you," she tells Farley. "But let's just make sure that doesn't happen."
While they're ready to take the next step with the men in their lives (JWoww is still with longtime BF Roger Williams), they're looking at this as a last hurrah.
"Me and Jenni have the rest of our lives to stick our heads up Jionni and Roger's asses," Snook says. "This is the time for us to enjoy life as best friends."

Opera 12 opens its beta doors: improves performance and stability, adds new themes
Similar to that other, foxy browser, Opera reached numerical version 12 (although in beta form), promising to be as fast and smooth as it's ever been. Included in the new revision are a slew of under-the-hood enhancements, along with a few cosmetic alterations. For starters, Opera 12 now offers complete 64-bit compatibility for both Mac and Windows, while "experimental" hardware acceleration and WebGL support are also in tow. Furthermore, the browser added a "smarter" tab-loading sequence, speed improvements for faster page uploads and a way to customize the look with a bundle of new themes -- of course, you can create your own as well. As for the backend tweaks, Opera announced it's abandoning its Unite and Widgets features in favor of an extension-driven model. Those of you eager to take it for a spin can hit the Opera link below to get started.
[Thanks, Yousef]
