Golf Rankings for World Golf Championships

1. Tiger Woods [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #2

After winning the WGC-Cadillac Championship when it moved to the TPC Blue Monster course at Doral in 2007, Woods recorded a solo fifth the following year in addition to a pair of top-10s. Tiger started this year with a victory at Torrey Pines, but is coming off a mediocre performance in last week?s Honda Classic. Woods has a lot more experience on this week?s track, however, so expect a quick turnaround. Tiger won the defunct Ford Championship at Doral in 2005 and 2006.

2. Charl Schwartzel [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #16

Over the last three years, Schwartzel has collected a pair of finishes inside the top-five at Doral, highlighted by a solo second in 2010. He?s making his third start in a stroke play tournament on Tour this season. Schwartzel finished T3 at Riviera and T9 in last week?s Honda Classic.

3. Justin Rose [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #5

The defending Doral champion returns to the site of last year?s victory following his T4 at the Honda, his first stroke play tournament of the season. Prior to coming stateside, Rose had finished T2 at Abu Dhabi and T16 at Qatar, both events on the European Tour.

4. Matt Kuchar [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #22

Kuchar has played Doral each of the last three years with impressive results, two top-fives and a top-10 last year. He?s made all four of his cuts in 2013 and is coming off a victory in the Match Play Championship. Kuchar now ranks 12th in birdie average, 16th in scoring average and 18th in All-Around Ranking.

5. Adam Scott [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #6

Since 2008, Scott has finished 13th or better three times at Doral. His only stroke play event on Tour this season was a T10 at Riviera. Playing a shorter schedule than most players has worked well for Scott in recent years. Pay attention when he?s active.

6. Luke Donald [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #3

Donald has finished T6 each of the last two years at Doral. He?s only played in one stroke play event this season, a T16 at Riviera. However, Donald started the final round tied for fifth, but struggled on Sunday with three bogies and a double bogey.

7. Hunter Mahan [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #26

Mahan continues to pave a solid road of consistently good results. Prior to finishing as the runner-up in the Match Play Championship, he finished 16th or better in four straight events. Mahan has made five consecutive cuts at Doral, finishing T24 and T9 the last two years.

8. Keegan Bradley [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #12

Bradley is coming off a T4 in last week?s Honda Classic, giving him three straight finishes inside the top 25. Last year, Bradley finished T8 in his first career start at Doral.

9. Rory McIlroy [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #1

At Doral, McIlroy has finished solo third and T10 the last two years. However, he cited a sore tooth for his poor play and sudden withdrawal while defending last week?s Honda Classic crown. McIlroy is a player to roster, but best suited for the bench until he looks back to form.

10. Nick Watney [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #21

This week?s event will be Watney?s first stroke play tournament since missing the cut at Pebble Beach nearly a month ago. Watney won this event in 2011 and was the runner-up back in 2009. Last year, he finished T17 at Doral.

11. Graeme McDowell [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #17

After making the quarterfinals in match play, McDowell is now coming off a T9 in last week?s Honda Classic. He?s finished inside the top 15 at Doral two of the last three years.

12. Bubba Watson [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #9

After opening the season with a T4 in the Tournament of Champions and a solo 15 in the Phoenix Open, Watson missed the cut at Riviera. Bubba finished as the solo runner-up in this event last year, his first start at Doral since a 72nd back in 2009.
