Hans K. Rausing gets 10-months suspended sentence

LONDON (AP) ? A judge has given Hans Kristian Rausing a 10-month suspended sentence for preventing the proper burial of his wife Eva.

Judge Richard McGregor-Johnson said Wednesday that Rausing, whose father made billions selling his stake in the Tetra Pak drinks-carton empire, must receive extensive drug rehabilitation treatment and will be imprisoned if he commits more drug offenses.

Rausing pleaded guilty Wednesday. His wife was found in their London townhouse in early July, more than two months after she died.

The wealthy Rausings had both been troubled by drug addiction. Hans Kristian Rausing said in a statement that he had suffered a breakdown after his wife's death and did not act rationally.

But Hans Kristian denied doing his wife any harm, or providing her with drugs.
