Steve Jobs was a good example of why we shouldn't cut post ...

This is an open letter to Governor Rick Perry. Over the last year, Texas has seen a record number of children adopted from foster care being returned, and those adoptions are being dissolved. Now is probably not the best time to reduce funding and services available to these children and their families.

Children adopted from foster care have suffered abuse and neglect to such a degree the state stepped in and removed the children for their own safety. They have been bounced from foster home to foster home before finally finding a forever-adoptive home. Please don?t force the families to find new therapists or providers mid-stream. Continuity of care is so important.

Steve Jobs, former CEO at Apple, is a perfect example. Even with his adult age, level of education and intelligence, he still struggled. He was one of the smartest men on the planet and he couldn?t wrap his head around it. Yet you expect my 6-year-old to figure it out?
